
With the approval of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) and His Majesty's Government of Nepal, Trade Point Kathmandu was officially set up by Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) in Dec. 2002, under the guidelines of UNCTAD and World Trade Point Federation (WTPF)'s Trade Efficiency Program.
The establishment and operationalization of Trade Point Kathmandu is the initiative to create an institutional mechanism to support the business community, particularly from the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in international trade by providing them an access to advance technologies and information network. Trade Point Kathmandu spares no effort to serve the local foreign trade and economic enterprises and is on a proven track in bridging different economies all over the world.
